What PDFpad is

PDFpad is a tool for adding content to a PDF — text, ticks, dates, initials and signatures — and saving the result. The work happens in your browser. We do not receive, store or process your documents.

Signatures

A signature made here is an electronic signature. It is not an advanced or qualified electronic signature, it carries no identity verification, no certificate and no audit trail. Whether a document signed this way is valid for its purpose is for you to determine — if you are unsure, take advice or use a service designed for that kind of agreement. You are responsible for the content and the use of anything you produce here.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use PDFpad to forge documents, to sign as somebody else, or to alter a document you have no right to alter.
  • Do not attempt to bypass the export limits. They are enforced politely, by a client that honours them; abusing that is a breach of these terms.
  • Do not use the service in a way that breaks the law where you are.

Free and paid

Filling in and signing is free. Saving is free 3 times every 30 days, with a small footer line on the saved file. Pro is £6 a month or £39 a year and removes the limit and the line. A document pass is £2 and unlocks a single document for 24 hours. Prices include VAT where it applies; our merchant of record is the seller of record and handles tax.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel from your account page at any time, in one click. Your subscription then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for and does not renew. If PDFpad did not do what you expected, email us within 30 days and we will refund you.

Availability and liability

PDFpad is provided as it is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted service. Because your documents are never sent to us, we cannot recover work you lose — keep your original file until you are satisfied with the result. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Other people's names

Product names used on this site — Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Preview, Docusign and others — belong to their owners and are used descriptively to identify those products. We are not affiliated with any of them. If you believe something on this site misdescribes your product, tell us and we will correct it.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters — pricing, what is included, how your data is handled — we will say so on the site and, if you have an account, by email.
